Inspired by the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, based on journal entries in a forgotten diary and adapted from an autobiography, the indie film “Content of Character” made its world premiere at the Irving Arts Center. This could not be more appropriate. Cynthia Reid Wills, the author and producer, has been a member and officer of the Irving Black Arts Council for many years. Screenwriter/director L. Courtney Thorpe Douglas is no stranger to Irving arts audiences either. Cathy Whiteman attended the event and files this report.
